Gary Windas

As Managing Director, Gary leads Hawksland Associates Aerospace and Defence Consulting and Interim Management practice. A specialist in strategic business development, aircraft programme, operations and supply chain management, he has over 30 years of A & D industry experience – 24 years as a consultant. He has directed engagements for clients resulting in generating up to $1Bn in revenue growth, opened-up new markets, improved operational performance, reduced costs and whole life-cycle managed the development of aircraft aerostructures and systems.

Gary has developed and executed: strategic business plans, revenue enhancement programmes, international business development, mergers & acquisitions, raising investment, bid preparation, strategic partnerships & negotiations, operational improvements, organisational restructuring and alignment, business transformation initiatives, spend savings, corporate and programme turnarounds, technology insertion and global supply chain management and development programmes. A qualified aerospace engineer, he has also programme directed and project engineered several aircraft and aero-engine development programmes. He has broad experience in most aircraft ATA chapter and technical domains and deep know-how in the fields of advanced aerospace composites, fiber metal laminates and RFID technologies.

In addition to transacting business globally, Gary has lived and worked in Canada, France, Germany, Spain, The Netherlands and USA. He is also CEO of Hawksland Holdings Limited (an investment holding company); an Advisor to Talon Aircraft Holdings GmbH and a Member of the Institute of Directors.
