Mike Hemmings

Mike has over 30 years experience in aerospace and other manufacturing industries. He has worked with many of the world's leading OEM and sub-tier clients working on a large number of projects including developing business strategies, manufacturing facilities design, manufacturing systems design, problem solving and implementation. His key strengths lie in the ability to design modern, lean facilities and assembly lines and lead all activities to successful commissioning.

Mikes assignments include:- with Boeing Military developing and implementing lean layouts in the machining, sheet metal, composite and assembly areas; design and specification of a new composite manufacturing facility for a client in the Middle East; Project management of a new product introduction in the aerospace industry; layout design for the assembly of a business jet at IAI in Israel. He has also: developed layout design for the MRO of fast jets in a new facility; Project management for the introduction of a new weapon system from prototype to production using advance materials; preparation of a business case for the transfer of a range of composite products to the UK followed by the facilities and process design and implementation; facilities and services specification for an airline MRO facility in Vietnam; facility strategy and productivity improvement on a wing joint for a Regional jet programme.

He has worked on numerous UK and overseas projects, including USA, Canada, Belgium, UAE, India and Australia. Clients worked with include: BAE Military & Commercial Weapons Systems, Smiths Industries, Defence Aviation Repair Agency, British Army, Premium Aircraft Interior Group, Boeing Military and Joy Mining, IAI Israel, Mubadala UAE
